Remember this: You have the right to remain silent. This means that you do NOT have to answer the Officer's questions.
Know this: Anything you say to the Officer WILL be used against you at your trial. Do not assume that the Officer will give
you a "break" or release you without charging you because you are being "cooperative" in answering his or her questions.
Remember, the Officer is not trying to be your buddy, he or she is trying to build a case against you.

You have the right to speak to an attorney at ANY time. If you are arrested and cannot reach an attorney of your choosing,
the Officer must provide you with an opportunity to talk to an attorney at no cost to you. Usually this is an on-call public
defender. Take advantage of this right. The attorney you speak with will advise you of your rights, your obligations, any
choices you might have in regards to how to proceed, and the ramifications of those choices.

If you are involved in an accident, do not make a statement to ANYONE about the accident. Anything you say, however seemingly
harmless or irrelevant, may affect your claim for damages, or even how the accident is investigated by the insurance company.
Make sure to exchange name, address and insurance information with those involved in the accident, and then contact an attorney
immediately. Your attorney will ensure your rights and claims are protected, and help you reach a settlement that will compensate
you for any injuries or damages incurred.
